Queen of Cards Chapter 3

"My queen; May I take 3 large steps?" Ace asked. "No, You may take 10 small steps." Akina said as she sat in an oversize throne. "Thank you, m'lady." Ace said as he took ten steps closer to her. "Queen, can I take 7 small steps?" Hayato asked Akina. "Hm… No. You may take two large steps." Akina said to him. "Thank you, my dearest Akina." Hayato said as he took his steps. "Queenie, may I take two leaps toward you?" Dexter asked. There was no response. "Akina?" Ace asked. She wasn't in her seat. "Akina!" They all shouted and heard a scream from a tree. "P-Put me down!" Akina shouted as a boy with wolf ears held her. "Kisho! Put her down!" Hayato shouted at the boy. "Why should I? I don't fit in anywhere, I should make my own group and make her my queen." Kisho said as he grinned and walked over to another branch of the tree.

"Guys! This is bad! If he takes her from us, we'll need to find another queen!" Dexter said. "I'll handle this." Ace said as he made a bow and arrow with his magic. "Give her back, or else I will shot you!" Ace shouted. "Hm… How about… Never!" Kisho shouted as he jumped over to another branch. "Damn, wolf boy! Stand still!" Ace shouted as he shot a few arrows at him, all of them missed Kisho. "Be careful, you might hit your beloved queenie." Kisho joked as he held onto Akina tighter, making sure he wouldn't drop her. "L-Let me go!" Akina shouted and struggled with him. "Please Akina; Don't make this harder than it has to be." Kisho said to her. "Put me down! Now!" Akina shouted. "Fine." Kisho stepped off the tree branch, making it seem like they would fall.

However, a platform had formed under them. As Kisho carried Akina down the stairs, Akina had stopped struggling and actually relaxed and stayed still in his arms, it was obvious that Hayato, Ace, and Dexter were all upset about this. "How dare you take my queen from us?!" Hayato shouted at Kisho. "Please, I'm the joker and I can do anything I want to do. Like this." Kisho grinned and kissed Akina's cheek. Akina turned as red as a red gooseberry, really putting each of the boy over the edge. "That cheek belongs to the hearts! Not to a filthy joker like you!" Dexter shouted at him. "Oh really? I want to become a heart. Remember, Joker's Wild." Kisho grinned. According to Joker's Wild, the Joker can join any of the four groups if the queen says they are allowed in. "Akina! We can't let Kisho in! He's a back stabber!" Hayato told Akina. "…He's allowed in." Akina said as Kisho grin turned into a sincere smile "Thank you, Akina." Kisho smiled as Ace and Dexter glared at him. "My love! He is a good for nothing joker!" Hayato shouted

"Guys… I think that you just never let him join because you don't like him." Akina said as Kisho nuzzled her neck. "Thank you lovely Akina." Kisho smiled and her and gave the boys a cocky grin. "Hey!" The guys shouted. "Boys, we all need to get along." Akina said as all the boys pouted.
